Dan Biswas
Co-Founder
Dan has over 13+ years of experience in real estate development, having developed a portfolio worth over $500M. Prior to URBN PHX, Dan was the Vice President of Development at SimonCRE, one of the fastest growing real estate development firms in the country, based out of Scottsdale, AZ, where he was integral in building the company from a 3 person team and only a few million dollars in assets to over 40 employees and over 45 projects per year in development and construction. Dan entitled and built buildings in 25 states, totaling over 1M square feet. He started URBN PHX to focus his talents more locally to the Phoenix Metro Area and to build thoughtful infill, multi-family/mixed-use & retail projects that build communities in PHX. His primary day to day focus is dealing with leading the design, development and construction efforts within URBN PHX.
For over a decade, Dan has been heavily involved in philanthropy (namely the Active 2030 Club of Phoenix, #99 and Children In Need Foundation) to help battle the challenges faced by local PHX under-privileged youth. He is a youth mentor, raises money for several local charities and regularly participates in charitable community events.

Mark Mascia
Co-Founder
Mark has 18+ years of experience in real estate development totaling 3,000+ residential units and mixed use projects worth $3B+. Mark was formerly the CEO of Mascia Development from 2006 until its sale in 2020. Mark was formerly the Vice President at SHVO Development, LLC, a multi-national luxury real estate development company. During his tenure at SHVO, Mark added global experience to compliment his domestic real estate proficiency. Mark also worked at Archstone-Smith (a former publicly traded REIT, which in 2012 was acquired by Equity Residential NYSE:EQR and Avalon Bay NYSE:AVB). His responsibilities included overseeing development, financing and asset management for the New York Tristate area. Prior to Archstone, Mark worked for Monument Realty, one of the largest office and residential real estate developers in the Washington, DC metro area. At Monument, Mark was directly responsible for the development, design, and construction and working with institutional capital partners to provide the debt and equity.
Mark has a Masters degree from New York University in Real Estate Finance and a Masters in Science in MIS Development from the George Washington University, and he gives back by teaching real estate development and advance financial analysis as a professor NYU’s Institute of Real Estate.
